Welcome

Welcome to my new blog. I plan on including one new tip a week. If everyone, as well as myself can do this one small act to help the environment – together we can make a difference. Watch for posts real soon!

WORKING TOWARDS A HEALTHIER ENVIRONMENT –
I plan on including a tip of the week to help make for a better environment. If we could get an increasing amount of people to follow through on these simple measures then we can help reduce our carbon footprint as a nation,
    Sincerely,
    Judi Wild

Have you heard about the latest technology? It is a tank that you install next to your hot water tank which stores your “grey water”. This grey water is the water drained from your shower, sink & washing machine. It can then be used to flush the toilet, which takes a huge amount of water for every flush.

Have not heard of that. What a great idea.

I welcome any suggestions for controlling climate change.
Don’t forget Earth hour at 8pm. on March 29th 2008.

    Ms. Wild,
First, let me say that your art work is beautiful. I’m a professor of physical chemistry and happen to understand atmospheric chemistry. So, you can believe me or not, but greenhouse gases haven’t controlled our climate for millions of years. If they did, we would have fried long ago. Al Gore got the cause and the effect backwards. Global temperature (actually ocean temperature) controls the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, not the other way around. Our oceans regulate the CO2 in the atmosphere. We have no control over climate. Before jumping off the cliff, people should really take some courses in physical chemistry. Can you imagine what we could do with the millions of dollars that will be wasted in the future trying to control atmospheric CO2. It boggles the mind. Sorry to burst your bubble.

    Dear Dr. Jim Barrante,
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my blog. You have the knowledge to challenge Al Gore’s claim about global warming being caused by greenhouse gases.
Do you agree that we are poluting the earth, the oceans, our air, our water and our bodies with toxins?????
